Cutup Friday: 2021 Rams Choice - Return

Choice was a staple concept for the Rams in 2021. The concept features an isolation option route for either the slot receiver or tight end. This is the primary, first read for the quarterback. In 1 on 1 situations, the Choice needs to be able to win.

If the defenses uses a hook defender to help squeeze the Choice route, the Return route is next in the progression. Many of the Shanahan/McVay coaches use this combination as the first way to install Choice, as it is an easy 1-2 read.
