Concept Cutup: 2023 Ravens Unbalanced / Tackle Over Power

The Ravens loved to call the play out of an unbalanced set. Going unbalanced helps the offense gain numbers back when the defense wants to bring the safeties down, particularly in short yardage situations. The Ravens included a “Tackle Over” look with the unbalanced formations as well. Tackle Over allows the Ravens to use another offensive lineman at the point of attack, and leave the tight end on the back side for a the much easier Squeeze-Hinge blocking assignment.
