Concept Cutup: 2021 Packers Four Strong Smash Split
In 2021, the Green Bay Packers resurrected an old Mike McCarthy concept that Aaron Rodgers liked. The play isolates a receiver, usually was Davonte Adams, and gets four strong to the trips side. The next image shows the play.
This play can be installed and taught many ways. At its core, the Packers wanted to isolate Adams to the single receiver side. This route would most often be a Slant or Fade, depending on leverage and game plan.
If he got double teamed, Rodgers would work the Hi-Low over the middle with the Y and the Z, with the running back as his check down.
